Downtown Miami has established itself as a major international
financial center, with a large concentration of banks, corporate
headquarters, investment companies, and many large businesses. It is
often referred to as "The Gateway of the Americas" and has quickly
developed into a place to work and live for many top executives, and for
those who wish to avoid the stress of rush hour traffic.
A Downtown Miami condo will put you just 15 minutes from the energy of South Beach,
and easy access to the Miami International Airport. Public
transportation is a vital part of downtown life and available by using
the bus, Metrorail, and Metromover, which runs three lines through
downtown in a loop.
Downtown Miami abounds with things to do - shopping at Bayside Marketplace, free concerts at Bayfront Park, sports and celebrity events at the American Airlines Area, home of the Miami Heat, performances at The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, and many historical sites.
Midtown Miami is a neighborhood north of Downtown Miami and south of
the Design District, which includes sub-districts Wynwood and
Edgewater. Wynwood is called the "arts district" because of its
dominance of art studios and home of the Miami Fashion District.
Edgewater is mostly residential consisting of many high-rise condos. An
outdoor shopping area, Shops at Midtown, is located on the northern side of Midtown and makes living complete in one of the many condos available in the area.
